engine id number code help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Can anyone help me, I need to know exactly what this engine is and what it came from!!???

The numbers on the frome of the engine are:

V0909CFR
1CL216100

On the back:

GM 50L0

Currently this engine is in an '83 El Camino, i'm not sure if it's the orgional engine or not.

Its a 82 305, E4ME Q-Jet Carb, 145hp, 4bbl
