Saw this 64 van today

The owner told me there were only 18 made with no windows and only doors in the rear with no windows either. He only knows of three in existence. If it's true or not I don't know. He has already sold it to his neighbor he says.

Re: Saw this 64 van today

I would so love to have one of those early vans.

If it has no passenger side doors and no windows at all in the back, that sounds like it would be quite rare. They usually at least have windows in the back doors.

years ago, had a friend with one, he installed a 396 set back even with the side doors. Wheelstanding son-of-a-gun!

Re: Saw this 64 van today

It's not the style or vintage of the van that would make it rare, but the no side door, no rear windows configuration. That does sound unique.

Re: Saw this 64 van today

That is a really rare van. No side doors, and no windows in the rear doors. I can't see too many customers for a van like that, so it might be as rare as the seller says. The only customers I could see is the County Coroner, the FBI, or a funeral home.

I'm not a huge fan of those vans, but that one is pretty cool. I really like the next body style van that came after that one (the ChevyVan ones).

He said plumbers loved these vans. Believe it or not.

I don't have a clue.
