Fuel line routing - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey folks,

Dropped my engine/transmission in the frame. I will run all new fuel/trans cooling lines. I want to reroute the fuel line down from the pump, under and up the backside of the engine to the carb. Do any of you know if a pre-bent line is available for this routing? I'm trying to hide everything I can! Or, maybe someone has a better suggestion to hide the line. Open to ideas. The engine is a 454.

I don't know of any prebent lines but you might consider going with an electric fuel pump as an option. This would make it easy to run the line from the backside of the engine.

Thanks Jim. I hadn't even thought of running an electric pump. What type would you suggest? My carb is a "Quick Fuel". Not sure of the CFM's.

Pick up a bender and some line. Both are cheap. Play around you might be surprised. Chris

I had thought about bending my own. A friend of mine has the bender and a flaring tool. I may give it a try just to see if I can do it.
