Idle control selenoid for Air conditioner

I tried searching not having much luck, but is there an idle control selenoid on a 71 c10? If there is, can you post a picture. I am trying to get my idle up when the air conditioner kicks on.

Never was one on my 69. I don't recall ever seeing one any through 72 either.

Re: Idle control selenoid for Air conditioner

The idle control was part pf the emissions system. It was tied into the AC so that it activated when the AC was on in addition to being part of the emission system. Here is a schematic of the solenoid setup.

Re: Idle control selenoid for Air conditioner

Thanks for the diagram. It would be great if someone actually have a picture in a stock set up... Or am I looking for a hen's tooth. I bought the truck several months ago and trying to get it back to working condition. I got the air conditioner to finally working, apparently the heater core control valve was not working before so the PO just gave up.
