what s the best media for body panels

did the whole truck with 100 grit and a d.a. but the hood "oil canned" so much I sent it out and had it plastic media blasted...came out great ,no distortion at all...had them do the cowl too cause hand sanding 2 paint jobs out of louvers sucks...takes it to bare metal but wont remove rust cause its not that abrasive ,no residue like soda...don't know if the stuffs compatible with home blast equipment cause I had it done
