How to remove/store bed without damage?
Where can I store a bed without damaging it? I have a task force series pickup bed trailer and the buyer only wants the rolling frame. I need to sell the bed but I can't if it's damaged. If I can find some, I'm thinking of getting some metal 55 gallon barrels and setting it on 4 of those. It is outside and won't fit in my 1 car bay full of tools. I need some ideas here! I have replaced a bed before, but I just flipped it off from the front and let it hit the ground because it was rusted out and going to the scrap. I don't have an engine hoist and it needs to be able to sit around until I sell it so renting one is out. How have you guys removed/stored a truck bed?

Three strong guys, or four if the wood is intact can lift if off and on, hardest part is getting over the tires. Support it on the cross braces not the bed side metal. Or once you have it off you can roll in up on the cap end to save room, obviously secure it to keep from falling.

When you say put it on the cap, do you mean the front panel or upside down?

Truck Guy99, This is how I had mine stored for a long time. It was sitting on the front cap.

Re: How to remove/store bed without damage?
I have mine stored on the cab end towards the floor. I put mine on 2 furniture cart moving dollies that I purchased from harbor freight so I can move it around in the garage as needed.

Re: How to remove/store bed without damage?
It probably goes without saying but remove the fenders first. If you were to damage anything it would probably be those. You can store it as shown by the other guys or just put a few boards or blocks under it and sit it down.

Unless your going to do a restore on it then you can take it apart and store it on some shelves.

just kidding, my garage is not really safe to go into as my wife puts it. I made a bed dollie for mine so i could push it out of the way when i needed too.
