Bucket Seat question

I have a question about Blazer bucket seats..
I recently found bucket seats from a 71 Blazer on craigslist.
They came with the original floor mount brackets, which is a plus.

As you can see in the photo, the original lever is there that disengages and holds down what I assume to be the passenger side seat..

I'd like to put them into a 72 Pickup, but what I don't have is the floor bracket that holds them down.. making for a really dangerous passenger seat in any accident..

My question is.. will the driver side bracket work for the passenger side as well, or is it an altogether different bracket for the pick up alone?

Do the parts suppliers sell these brackets?
Or will I have to try and find them for sale?

Maybe I'll be lucky and someone out there with a blazer will have pick up brackets.. lol

Are there any pages for creating your own brackets?
and one final question.. are the brackets in a pick up mirrored to each other left to right

Re: Bucket Seat question

Read up on things here. Remember Highlander buckets were only correct in Blazers.

Re: Bucket Seat question

Do you have a picture of the bottom of the seats/brackets? The passenger side has 73-up brackets, and I would suspect the driver seat to also be 73-up brackets. People try to sell 73-up buckets on craigslist ALL the time, advertising them as 69-72.

Re: Bucket Seat question

if driver side brackets r used on passenger seats you have problems with a center console due to the adjustment handle

and yes they look short like 73 brackets

Re: Bucket Seat question

If these are 73 seat brackets.. will they mate up to the floor in my 72?
I'd like some input before I go tearing out my bench seat.

Re: Bucket Seat question

The 73 brackets will not work in a 72 without extensive modification to them. They do not bolt right in
