17x8 rims
Has anybody put these size rims on a 69 with 6 Lug disks up front and 6 lug drums in back. 17x8 with 4 1/2 backspace. I found the ones I like but want to know if I am going to have any problems.

Yea I don't think 5 lug or 6 lug would make a difference. I am concerned about the backspace

Backspacing?
I'm not sure what the spacing is, the guy I bought from let me try fit them before I bought them. When I first put the first one on I wasn't sure if it looked right, but after putting both on one side I liked them. I had the ralleis on it for about 15 years so it was a big change to see my truck without them. I think I made the right choose. This is what it looked like before.

5.0
Quote:
No it doesn't. Have you ever seen a Chevy decal for 5.0, they suck, so I ordered a 5.0 from.... well you no the name. I think it fits the side badging pretty good though. I have a 305 that equals 5.0 305=5.0 350=5.7

fuelcellguy.......
Nice look to the truck, how are the clearances? Wanting to put same size all around on my 72 s/s s/b, but seeing yours makes me think I should go with a little larger on the rear. rod

Spinners?
67cst
No sorry, I got rid of all of the wheels and tires. I just bought a set of spinners and took a bolt and attached them to the caps. 67cst

Well...
when the bags are completely deflated, the tires touch but do not keep the truck from rolling. The tires on the front fit under the stock inner fender panel. The reason I went with the taller tire in the back is IMO is looks more proportionate to the truck. Almost, pro-streetish if you will. Not only that, the larger diameter tire with 3:73 and overdrive should result in some pretty good mileage. I guess IMO if I had 20-22" wheels, I would definately go with the same size tire front and rear. On 17"'s, the wheelwells just look bare. My .02. Later, FCG
