wiper help
I just re-wired my 66 with a aftermarket wiring kit. everything works execpt the wipers. the truck has 2speed wipers, and washers, but the washers nevr worked before. I still have the stock wiring harness from the wiper motor to the switch, but during the work one of the wires has broken from the connector. there is a yellow, blue, and either black or dark brown wires. the darker wire is still in the connector but the blue and yellow are just loose now. the kit has a wiper power wire, so how do I wire this back to working condition

Re: wiper help
The yellow wire at the wiper motor is the 12V+ power. These wipers have constant 12V+ power with the key on and the speeds/washers are controlled by switching the grounds thru the switch.
I couldn't locate my '65-66 diagram, but here's a little newer version that explains the wiring and how it works. Hope it helps |
