Air cleaner

Thinking about removing the factory air cleaner set up on my 86 silverado to a round exposed air cleaner type. Looking for any pros or cons to this.

I think you'd be further ahead to keep the cold air setup (assuming you have all the ducting that goes to the radiator support).

Underhood air is hot and is a power robber.

Better yet, make a dual snorkel setup and run two tubes to the rad support.

That's kinda what I was thinking. I was just about to start a tuneup on this thing as its running a little rough and figured id start there. Choke light on too.
