circle track wheels?

I was wondering if anyone has a pic of a 73-87 truck with circle track wheels. We watch nascar all the time and go to races all the time. I would also like to autocross this truck sometimes and i think these wheels would look great on the truck. Any one else ever done it?

Re: circle track wheels?

All the ones I've ever looked at weren't DOT legal. They do look cool tho.

Re: circle track wheels?

They say all the 50 series wheels are dot legal for the classes that require a dot wheel.

Re: circle track wheels?

They require 5/8 wheel studs, you'll have to drill the rotors and axles. I have them on my 50, I needed 15X7 with a 1" BS, they did the trick.

Re: circle track wheels?

I have seen lug nuts that have 1/2 inch threads and a 45 degree seat at summit. They are in the suggested parts tab I think. But big 5/8 studs would add to the look. I would like to find the cone deal in center of the hub like NASCAR uses to put the wheel on super fast.

Re: circle track wheels?

What wheels are those? Where did you get the caps and lug nut covers?

Ebay on the lugnut covers and cap. The wheels are from circleracing.com. I bought mine off the clearance page, one was chrome, one was bare steel, the other two were black powder coat but the stripes were different.

The deep offset was to make up for the track width difference between the S-10 chassis and 50 body.

The " cone deal" is the center hub. For the rear look to Speedway Engineering for a 9inch Floater Rear end. Around $1000.
For the front you need a spindle/hub (5x5).
Good news is both will come with 5/8 studs already installed and you will be that much closer to having killer brakes.
If you do go with 5/8 studs in your stock hubs and axles get fine thread not course. The course thread tend to come loose on the street.

Re: circle track wheels?

What did you do for lug nuts and studs. How are the wheels holding up? I have seen where some people have had cracking problems after a while.

Re: circle track wheels?

Putting Series 59 wheels on my 67, sorry its not the right year but you get the idea. Currently with 3/5 drop, but plan to go a few inches lower. These are 15x9.5 with 4.5" BS.
