Fixed!!

It's fixed!!

I finally took my truck on a freeway drive since I fixed my little carb flooding problem. We went down the freeway about 45 miles at 70 mph and didn't have a problem either direction.

This was the problem I've been having since September and then before last winter where it'd be fine around town and on the freeway for about 20 minutes, then it'd start running really rough.

There're 2 possibilities that could've caused the problem but I'm not sure if either one is realistic. They're only what I fixed when I was checking out the carb after it started flooding.

1.) The small piece of debris that was in my carb causing the flooding problem, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It seems that it would've been more evident like it was when I finally had to check into the carb after it was flooding so bad it wouldn't start.

2.) When I first pulled the airhorn off, the lock retainer for the power piston assembly wasn't secured into the the top of the power valve well. I was sure to seal it in when I put the airhorn back on the carb the last 4 or 5 times

I'm thinking option #2 is probably what it was. Either way, I'm pretty stoked that my truck is running great again

In my business sometimes we fix things and aren't sure what we did. We call it FM, or F'in Magic. I don't care "why" it fixed, just that it "is" fixed...
