Door Hinge Nut Plate Fell Down
I went to put my driver door back on today and realized the bottom plate that the lower door hinge bolts to has fallen out of its pocket down into the pillar. Is there any way to fix this without having to cut open the pillar?

Re: Door Hinge Nut Plate Fell Down
You might try a flexible magnet and see if you can snake it in and pull the plate up. The problem is keeping it in place. You cant weld it as it needs to move around for adjustment.
Maybe a short piece of threaded rod in one hole until you get the door in place on the truck. |

Re: Door Hinge Nut Plate Fell Down
fish it back up and put one small tack weld to hold it in place while you bolt it in. Then break the spot weld. Not a fun job bt you can do it I did.
