Our trucks are still common enough you can usually find good used gates
1981 to 87....(91 in crewcabs) are the same Check craigslist/kijiji/ebay and this forum I found a new takeoff on kijiji locally last year Some small wrecking yards and pick n pull yards also have our trucks Shipping gates is expensive so local is better.. |

I dragged mine last week after the hindges failed. Cheap aftermarket gate could not handle the welded tailgate skin weight. Now I have remove the skin and graft it to another tailgate. Revese handle and all. Original gates metal is thick!! I will only go OEM from now on.
