dana 70 dually wheel bear. adjustment ?

just replaced all rear wheel bearings on a dually,used timken {made in china /} bearings ,installed them ,put hubs on truck ,it now seems like there is not enough adjustment to get outer cir-clip ? anybody had any problems with new bearings ? i thought i might have to take some material off the outer adjustment nut ?? i have checked to ,make sure hub is completely on housing and not hanging up or out too far !! any ideas ?this outer clip {that holds in the square bar lock } as is dont have enough threads showing to get clip to seat !thanks
