I searched here : http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=517098
and used the PM feature asking what each owner used. There are also a few threads with good size info, use the search feature at the right side and type in " tire" you should find plenty of info.

When you say " full drop" assuming you are bagging the truck, you will want to stay with the bagged truck section guys as they will have 1st hand info

Re: Pics An Info On Wheels & Tires W/ Dropped Trucks

I've had a rough day or you added the dropped axle and blocks...?

Both Coach and I just used a Sid's drop system. 4" drop axle front and a leaf removed, 4" blocks rear with a leaf removed. Coach has a 3600 and had to flip his axle on top of the leaf packs with a small notch. Both of us are running 8" wide rears, 4" backspace with 235/75/15's and fronts are 6" with a 3.5 backspace (to stay away from the tie rod) and wrapped with 215/75/15's. Each tire manufacturer has a different rolling height and a wider or narrower aspect ratio ( think muffin top or love handle bulge ) when the tire has weight resting on it. This is important so you don't run the tire into the tie rod on a straight axle truck, just as important as backspace on the wheel.

Here's the combo. You can see how deep the rears look compared to the fronts. Mine are a chrome center artillery wheel, painted outers and I added the ribbed rings. This is a stock look, but you could go aftermarket wheels and just stay within the width and backspace dimensions. I have seen 18x8 rears and 17x6 fronts work also.
