Chevy 230 2 barrel carb?
I bought a 1952 chevy 3800 and it came with a 230 chevy l6 in it with a rochester monojet carb on it. I have had nothing but trouble with it and I am looking for a replacement carb. I believe the monojet is approximately 250 cfm? I was looking at a holley 2300 2 barrel carb with 350 cfm. Does anyone have any experience with this? Would it be too much for the 230? Thanks.

I ran a holley 350 on my 65 230 but I had an Offy intake on it. The holley doesn't bolt on your stock intake but you can buy adaptors for other carbs like in the stovebolt link. Here's the carb I used.

Re: Chevy 230 2 barrel carb?
Just put a split exhaust manifold on it, and the increased intake ability will be afforded by the engine being able to expel more exhaust gases.
