where to buy new ubolts rear end
i have a 70 blazer with a 12 bolt rear end that im replacing the leaf spring bushings in...the problem is that to replace them you need to remove the leafs from the axel and just about everything ive done has proven ineffective...so i decided i was gonna cut the old u bolts off and replace them with new ones ( i need new top u bolt hold downs that go under the u bolts and on top off the leafs) i figured one day ill rebuild the rear end its an upgrade and a means to an end ...question is where can i find new ubolts and for a decent price....by the way there square and measure 1/2 inch thickness - 7 1/2 inch length - and 2 1/2 inch inner diameter....thanks for the help, Brandon

Re: where to buy new ubolts rear end
Any parts store will sell u-bolts. They will want to know your axle tube diameter and the length. It is good practice to replace your u-bolts after each use. The threads are not meant to be tightened over and over again.
You can also order them from any online parts warehouse like summit racing, Jegs, Rockauto or similar. |
