To my knowledge they were after market, i know VentVisor brand still makes a chrome version

good because they're coming off unless it came factory with them looks to 80's to me.

I like the chrome ones on the 82, the rest of my vehicles have the plastic tinted peel and stick ones. and i've had one blow off my 06 sierra twice.

can the holes that were drilled into the door to install them be welded instead of putty to fill them? the truck has no body work or putty anywhere so don't want to start now starting to need a repaint is why i ask.

don't see why not, mine are around 1/8th in size
mine only has three/per

I'm no body man but I think just three small screws hold them on, if you find someone handy with a welder or old school oxy acetylene setup but that takes real talent (which i lack)
