speedometer bounce
i bought a new tach dash cluster out at the swap meet a couple of years ago and new speed o cable but in the winter time the speedometer bounces real bad im afraid its going to break it bounces in the summer time very little any ideas?

They bounce when the cable sticks a little. Since it is so easy, it is a good idea to pullit out, wipe it off, and lube it with the correct speedometer lubricant.

Apparently, yes. I have a can of light oil labled speedometer lubricant, that I've had forever, I imagine its got to stay thin even when its wicked cold out. I don't really know, but wouldn't grease get a little sticky at cold temps?

Actually they should be lubed with graphite grease.
