H052 eaton question
Can anyone tell me if you can pull the pinion out through the front of the ho52 rear,or do you have to pull the carrier?

You can get it out the front by unbolting the flange. When I pulled mine, it came out dry. Meaning it was stuck in there pretty tight.
Perhaps pulling off the rear cover, and utilizing a brass drift and a hammer you could assist from the back side.

Unbolt the axles, pull them out about 6". Unbolt the center secton and out she comes. Easy job.
