heater control module bolts....

Can someone tell me the size, or where I can buy whatever type of bolts attach the heater control module to the dash itself? Or what you used to mount yours.

Thank you

They are 1/4-20 thread bolts. Choose whatever style of bolt head that you prefer in that size. Typically, they are Phillips pan headed style.

No, it's $2 for the whole set. If you've got other stuff you need, shipping wouldn't be an issue, but I hear what you're saying

And I hear what you're saying too. Sometimes its convenient to throw stuff like that into your basket when you're placing an order anyway.

Also, to add to the discussion, I went out into my shop and dug out my box of heater controls. Some are 1/4-20 and a couple are like #10 sheetmetal screw threads. These are all basic heat (non air) control heads. I can't really say for sure if the ones that use screws have just been abused and had the threads cuts by just being forced or if they came that way.

Re: heater control module bolts....

Mine has sheet metal screws. No clue if that is original or not.

Re: heater control module bolts....

Ive tried 1/4-20 and they are too big, this is a replacement module from LMC so if that matters...lol

I may end up trying some sheet-metal screws.

thanks

Re: heater control module bolts....

My used replacement controller had stripped threads.

I just used stainless machine screws (#10, I think) washers and stop/lock nuts.

If you have the AC controller you need the bracket that fits to the bottom of the panel so the 1/4"x20 will screw into it. The panel it self doesn't come with it most of the time you have to take it off the old one and install it on the new one.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
