rear bumper
i am installing a chrome rear bumper on my 72 and it had a step bumper previously on it, was wondering how much space should there be between the bumper and the body? found that my brackets are not lining up on the frame for the bumper.

Re: rear bumper
Yup, not a 67-72 bumper. I had a 73-87 step bumper on my 67 and that's what I remember the brackets looking like.

Re: rear bumper
^^^ I knew somebody would ask.
Step bumpers are tough as nails. At one time I was going to replace mine with a chrome one like my friends but after seeing what happened when his truck was rear ended I decided not to. No offence chrome bumpers look clean and....his was a lesser aftermarket type but I'm glad I didn't switch. Why does my bumper swirl like that?!! Last edited by Madtat; 07-04-2013 at 10:38 AM. |
