Hood bumper grommet location help!

Got the 64 back from the painter and doing re assembly of the hood bumpers-the 4 square pads are a no brainer but I fail to see where the 2 round bumpers go? I have tried to look at online photos of hood and engine compartment photos as well as catalogues and such and they just do not show anything.

I am not sure if the painter filled the original holes or I am just missing the spot where they go-any info helps guys

I to have the same problem I think they must have change the design on the later yreas and give you he two extra bumpers. I have a GMC. two square in the rear, 2 square at the front outside corners and I "think" the rounds one go in the area where I have tqo holes at? See Pictures

Re: Hood bumper grommet location help!

You're right it is a GMC, but the holes were there when I got the hood, makes sense to have bumpers in that location as you possibly have deflection when you shut the hood.

Id I decide to install, I will use a nut and bolt as the rivets won't fit right.
