Before I screw it up again (pun intended)...
OK so first off, thanks to the members that chimed in letting me know what part I was dealing with. Here's what I need help on now...
The male threaded mount for the power steering control valve got flattened a bit and I thought I would have to replace the entire part. I figured since the part isn't getting any more broken I tried to cut and file the offending threads a bit and I believe I'm good. Before I mount the valve, I have some questions about correct placement. The female end of the pscv measures 2.5 inches in depth. The male end that was flattened a bit is longer than that. What I need to know is if I stop screwing on the valve once the pinch bolt is centered over the factory cut flat spot. Additionally, is there any other tips about the actual mounting angle so the ball stud is in the correct alignment? Again, thanks so much for the help. |
