Rian, I think I would plexiglass that back wall, and the bottom, with some clear silicon sealer to prevent any moisture getting to that paper again.
The outside.... man I would leave it exactly as it is because that rust looks too cool; except I would spray with rust inhibitor, and then clear coat it. Just my two shillings worth
