Jesse....very nice! Your truck has a very clean look. The round lines
of the bed compliments those of the cab. Don meyer |

Re: Modern Truck bed for a 47-54 GMC/Chevy
I for one am an original looks kind of guy BUT I do appreciate a good custom vehicle and the time and blood that goes into it. Wish I had those skills. That truck is fabulous and looks like it took LOTS of work. Congrats on getting it done. Now comes the fun time enjoying what you did and bragging on the work involved.

Re: Modern Truck bed for a 47-54 GMC/Chevy
this thread is from 09 but it brings up good fabrication points
all these trucks have the same basic bed with different levels of fabrication applied to them these trucks blended the old cab and fenders into the newer bed. both fabrications well thought out and executed. this red truck blended the newer bed into the stock steps. nicely executed fabrication this truck the fabricator blended the newer bed into into the body lines of the old truck, again well executed fabrication now this truck? the owner plopped the new bed behind the old cab with no thought to blending the styles. no real fabrication or thought involved in this build, the body lines don't come close. same basic bed in three different levels of execution. 4 well thought out and one well let's just say no thought. 4 well fabricated, one plopped on classic examples of ''what if'', some carried out to a nice design and one not so designed while they may not fit your tastes or thoughts on what a classic truck should look like, i can appreciate the work/fabrication done on most of these.
