I'm really beginning to dig this truck. The only thing the truck is missing from what I can tell so far is the spare tire mount and original tail gate. Otherwise, it's complete, rusty and crusty, but complete

X2 above-- I think if thats the way that thing came originally you should go back with it and maybe put a faux patina finish on it, I dont know anything about value on these trucks but if it was an original Coke truck , may be worth more to redo it that way!! Im a do it whatever kinda you want kinda guy as well but just my .02 cents

Thats one of the first things I checked. Haven't got it to work yet. If I can get it working I might keep it.

Well, damn. I guess I haven't updated this thread. Anyway, got the old girl running after replacing the fuel sending unit, fuel pump, and blowing out the rest of the fuel lines. Fired right up, sounded really good for sitting for so long. But all the block expansion plugs are rusted out so I can't run it again until I get those replaced. I've been debating pulling out the engine so that I can more easily get to everything. At this point, I've pulled off the exhaust manifolds so that I can get to the plugs on the side of the block. And of course, snapped off a couple of studs while I was at it, so I have all new bolts coming. And I need a new clutch. I'll post some video of it running.
