Which kick panel speaker pod?
I think I am going to go with kick panel speakers for my 73. The problem I am finding is deciding on which ones. I have not found a bunch of manufacturers. There are the ones from Q-Logic, but they do not list them for the 73's. it appears they start at 1978. I am sure those will work.
Then there are these http://http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-...dc541f&vxp=mtr they come with Pioneer Speakers. I have read on here that the Q-Logic ones interfere with the E-brake. Anybody used the ones from my eBay link? Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Which kick panel speaker pod?
These will be the same for 73-87 pickups, might get more feedback there. I can move this thread there if you like.

I'd like to know myself. I hadn't considered running them until recently but I want my parking brake to clear.

Re: Which kick panel speaker pod?
I snagged some factory door speaker "spacers" out of a second gen s10. I'm hoping these, with the spacer rings that come with speakers, should allow me to mount some speakers to my kick panels. Gonna go the component route and mount the tweeter where the factory dash speakers go. I did that in my Mustang. Gutted the dash speakers, and mounted the tweeter to the factory speaker chassis. Sounds very good and looks stock.

Re: Which kick panel speaker pod?
I thought these were more common than this? Is it a stupid question? I haven't done a search...

Re: Which kick panel speaker pod?
I know a couple of people here have them. I'm curious as to which can mount deep speakers and how they block the ebrake

Re: Which kick panel speaker pod?
I know one of our members (and also a vendor on here) sells kick panel speakers on his site. I think his name is CaptKaos or something similar. He's pretty good about testing his stuff before he sells them, so he would probably know best. Here's links to the kick panel speaker molds on his site..
