Re: Got a 99 1500, what parts can i use on a 64?
You can make most any part work, if you want to put the work into it to make it fit. I personally have not used a column that new, but I have seen it done. It will take some research to figure out the wiring, and maybe some trimming and modifying to make it physically fit the truck. If you stay with the EFI and all the electronics from the '99 truck, that will help with installing the steering column.
There is a thread over in the '67-'72 projects section titled "Project...praise the lowered" He put a '67 body onto a '04 frame and running gear. You can see how much work he went to to make it happen. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=434253 That is very similar to what it would take to put a '60-'66 body onto a '88 and up frame and running gear.
