Another Elec Fan question, this time front mounting...

Looks like the fan will have to be mounted in front of the radiator on the 50.

Being the sheetmetal is not present, and Im not too familar with these years of trucks ... curious as too space issues in front of radiator.

After searching for images, I'm assuming I am free and clear after modifing the cross braces ...

Thoughts ?

Chief

There is ample room. Mine uses a after market core support so I didnt have any cross bracing. Originally I had my condensor and fan mounted in front with no issues. Due to poor cooling (no duh) I reworked my cooling system to mount the fan on the engine side. I went with a cooling components fan. http://www.coolingcomponentsinc.us.com/
It is a 2 speed fan that is very thin and comes with a shroud. (not cheap though) I didn't think that I had room for it but I was able to make it work. It is also very quiet.

Before (1st pic) After next 2 pics.

Good luck
Marc
