81 C-10 but same difference as the 86.

this one was done back in 94/95, pre-digital camera so here are some crappy pictures of some old 35mm prints.

Re: Pics of Gray interior

Since pickups never came with grey interior what color is everyone using to paint the pickup specific interior parts such as the plastic/metal trim above the doors and back window and down the cab corner by the upper seat belt bolt. Has anyone found a color available in spray cans that matches closely? i'm using '86 suburban winshield pillar trim plastic and the metal trim above the windshield and need somthing that matches that.

Uhmm yeah they did come with gray/charcoal interior. Not sure what you mean by that.

Re: Pics of Gray interior

Are gray and charcoal considered the same color when it comes to chevy interiors? Is there a light gray that was only available in burbs and blazers? I've come accross 4 factory tachs in trucks and never a gray interior, is gray really rare? Your dash pad and door pannels look like the color I'm trying to match. LMC lists both a gray and light gray for headliners.

Neither of these pics are mine. Just some I took off the internet. I may be wrong about this and someone may chime in about it. As far as I know the charcoal/dark gray interiors were in the truck. The lighter gray interiors came out in the suburbans and blazers. I personally think the darker gray interiors are harder to come by since I have been looking in salvage yards for some time for pieces. If I have to paint match pieces then I will probably use SEM's paint products.

The second pic I posted I do believe the door panels and dash are aftermarket pieces. They don't always match what the factory came out with. The seat is a Tea's custom seat.

No - charcoal often is dark enough to be called black.

Re: Pics of Gray interior

Here is a picture of my dads truck, I always assumed this was charcoal and though gray was the light gray in burbs/blazers. If there was a gray for pickups and light gray only available in burbs/blaz I'm looking for paint to match the light gray. Someone has to have converted a pickup int. to light gray.

Re: Pics of Gray interior

for the 81-88s there was: Medium Gray and Charcoal (looks black to most people)
for 89-91 there was Light Gray (I believe Medium gray was discontinued, not sure about charcoal)

Also I see quite a few medium duty trucks with charcoal interiors and the door panels will interchange.

just my .02
