Changing a 59 to a 567?

What all is involved? I did a quick search and found references to shortening the frame rails and hood hinges?? What exactly is involved?? Thx.

I change my 58 to a 55. You need the 55-57 complete front end. Fenders, inner fenders, radiator support, Hood, etc. The frame rails only need to be shorted in the front about 3 inches I don't remember that exact amount I took off but I have the pieces if you need a measurement. Its a simple thing to do. I also had to move my radiator mounts about a 1/2 inch back so that the sheetmetal would fit correctly also easy to do.

the hood hinges have to be slotted a bit on the fire wall side, due to the holes being slightly different. Correct? It has been at least 15 yrs since I did the last up year conversion so I am not completely positive but am pretty sure

As Fonzy would say correctamundo. The hinges are different and the holes in the firewall are different.
