I believe it's from a 60-62. I believe they went to the plastic bezel after that and eliminated the metal pan design. It certainly is a rarity. I've never seen one in real life.

I had on of those dashes in my 64 GMC 960. I found it at a swap meet and paid $10 for it. The guy was happy to get rid of it. My lucky day. It is a cable driven tachometer. I found a electric tach and installed the original GMC tach plate onto the new electric tach. If you find a cabover in a scrap yard check out the instrument panel, I've found the sealed style tach's like the one in the picture below.
