I need VIN help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Well I just got back from looking at a possible new toy but wanted to know what year it was. I took a pic of the vin but it is very blury cause I was too close and it was a digicam designed for webcam but is portable. Anyway, this truck supposedly came from alberta so it's a Canadian GMC wich makes it a bit harder to find info on.
I did also try to get pics of the glove box but they are worse than the vin plate. ( I need a real digital camrea,

)

I will post the pic below and will have another post with pictures of the rest of the truck.

From the first two letters it looks like CE... C= 2wd and the E= V8. The rest I really cant make out.

Of course I didn't write it down that would make just to much damn sence.

It was a bit of a walk to get to it too. It's well hidden in his back field.

This is what I can make out so far.
CE131-11

I am more interested in finding out the year. I figure 71 due to the fact that is has 5 bolt wheels and by the inside of the doors. BUT the hood kinda threw me looks more like a 67-68.

I will post the pics shortly.

Looks like CE134-11 rest dont matter

C conventional
E eight cyl
1 1/2 ton
34 box type truck
1 Oshawa Plant
1 1971

Well that's enough for me. Just wanted to confirm if it was a 71 or not. Looks like it's a 71 with a 68 front clip.
