Caliper upgrade question

I have a 71 350 5.7L c10 truck and would like to put some nicer front calipers on it. My question is, who makes an aftermarket caliper that is a direct bolt on replacement for my factory calipers? I don't want to change anything but the calipers. Any suggestions?

Re: Caliper upgrade question

i got my D52s from scotts hotrod. they are board sponsors.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...5&postcount=55

they look good. I got the drilled/slotted rotors from CPP.

Its all OE replacement, nothing had to be modified. But honestly Im not convinced they stop any better than stock.

I think I should have looked at McGaughtys big brake systems but at the time they wouldnt fit my rims.

Re: Caliper upgrade question

if they use the same pads and same diameter pistons there would be no difference in stopping power...the're just lighter and look good through your rims...

Looks is why I was asking, but for the price I may just paint mine.

Re: Caliper upgrade question

For looks alone they are not worth the price, so you might as well get the ones with bigger pistons.
