Found a 52 3100, opinions please

Like it says, found one, let me tell you what I know about it and you all can give me honest opinions. It's about 2 hrs from me, all I've seen is pics on my phone. It's all apart, cab needs cab corners, lower panels below firewall. Needs 1 bed side, something was dropped on it. Clear title, all the glass, 10 bolt already in it, frame is in good cond. I was going to clip it, Malibu or Camaro, but he done has a new disc brk conversion kit with under cab booster and master. No motor and trans. He keeps saying a lot of extra parts, but all I could make out in the pics was what parts he took off the trk. He's at $2800, says that's what he has in it. I know 70's hotrods, but most of what I know about these trks I've learnt on here. I would go and look before I buy but is this worth going?

It all depends on your desire to own it. I don't feel it is a bad purchase at that price but in the end you will be the one to make that decision. I gave $1200 for mine then drove it home and ripped it apart. It needed floor pans ,cab corners, inside steps ,lower hinge pockets and lower door skins. To top it off the dash was even chopped up but I wanted a 55 Chevy truck!!

You are better off buying a truck that is complete so you know what you are getting.

THIS, and I can't speak for KY but in SoCal $2800 is waay too much for a disassembled rusty truck that has no motor or trans of any kind.

What "he has into it" is irrelevant. Of course HE doesn't think so, but its irrelevant to you.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking that was kinda high to, just wanted to get another opinion. Everybody that has any of this older stuff now thinks it's worth a mint. I'll look around and find something before winter, thanks again.
