Why no 18MM in any socket or wrench set

Why no 18MM in any socket or wrench set

I got more set of wrenches n socket of all different kinds and sizes but not a one has a 18mm in it.

Only saving grace yesterday was that kobalt multi tool from Lowes on the bolts I couldn't beat a 12 point 11/32 socket on to for a good grip.

Harbor frieght has 18mm in their socket set. A green HB socket would look nice snuggled up to your Snap-Ons.

Snap-on tools have a hard time getting along with SK & Mac tools, Harbor freight is asking for trouble

Never heard of not having a 18mm in a set.....8mm, 11mm, 16mm, 19mm, 22mm have SAE equivalents so I can see some sets not having these, But a 18mm is a 18mm.

x2 but it took me at least 6 months to get one after the one in my regular set broke. They would never re-stock the dang things. But I agree with the OP, it seems like they're HARD to find in sets.

Several years ago a friend of mine was buying industral machines and a place we went to pick up one was a plant that made sockets and related items. Guess what names were on some of the sockets and rachets that was in the scrap bins?

Craftman, snap-on,lee, mac,and a few others. I thought that they had bought them to see how they were made so that they could reproduce them a little different. But they made them, so the guy says.
