1960 C10 rear end swap
So as I am swapping in a front end from a 1979 chevy truck, I want to swap the rear end. I have a rear end out of a 1971 chevy truck, my only question is what panhard bar do I get? And will it just mate up to the original mounting place on the frame? I know they are different from the newer models and was not sure.

Sorry it is actually the rear Panhard bar that I am looking for to perform this swap correctly.

Re: 1960 C10 rear end swap
Cut the original panhard mout bracket off your original rear (note locatioin) and weld it on the 71 rear. Bolt up the original panhard... done.

Re: 1960 C10 rear end swap
The newer rear end has a mounting location for the panhard bar and I'm not much for welding.

Check... that is the way I did mine as well back in the day. Worked perfect.

Re: 1960 C10 rear end swap
Thanks everyone. I had a friend weld the mount on the new rear end and it bolted in perfectly.

Re: 1960 C10 rear end swap
No I don't have any pictures of it. The new rear end still had the saddles on it already. I just had to mount the panhard bar setup.
