Adjusting transfer case linkage
Can anyone explain to me the best way to adjust the linkage to my T-Case? I just rebuild it with new shift forks and plastics and a few other peices because I found lots of metal when I drained the fluid when I pulled my tranny for a rebuild. But anyway its works great now! Except I think the linkage may need a little tweaking, its popped out of 4-lo one time on me, but I just rebuilt the thing with every part it need, so I don't think the case is worn. I'm going off-roading this weekend and want to make sure I don't have any problems. It may have just been a fluke though, because I drove all over the mountains one weekend leaving it in 4-lo for 2 days and it never once popped out, so maybe I just didn't get it all the way in this once, what do you guys think?

I guess that would be a little different. I had the 208 in my 85 K5 if I remeber correctly a haynes manual has the procedure in it. Mine was doing the opposite popping out of 4hi. Have you dropped the TC cross member?

Transfer case doesn't have its own crossmember, its held up by the adapter bolts to the transmission. But no it has not been dropped, but the old tranny mount was worn out, so I replaced that when I rebuilt both the tranny and T-Case. I'm going down to Uwharrie this weekend so i'll see if it causes any problems.
