Re: Remember these

I don't think our trucks used them, but boy I sure do remember using them to help my dad change the tires on our Electra 225. Old School Baby!

Re: Remember these

Hey Jeff,

I noticed that you be from Donaldsonville, I work in Chalmette, and live in LAcombe, we ought to get together for a cup of jow or lunch one day. I travel to St. Rose several times a months (3-4) for sample delivery, send a PM if interested in a meet? Also we have a Louisiana Classic Truck Club IF you're not already a member.

Re: Remember these

Bumper Jack.
Yeah, most the cars that used those had slots in the bumper where you were supposed to put the jack.
Otherwise the jack could slip out and the car would fall down.

They were the crank bottle jack or some called them axle jacks. You had to keep them oiled or they would rust up and become unusable. Sorry I don't have a picture one..Vernski

I've been wanting to make it your way one day, I would love to see your truck in person. Will have to meet you in St Rose or Laplace on day.
