Blazer Tank Diagram--it works! Use this!

HEY! So we've had roughly five million threads asking about issues with filling the underbed gas tank. I also have had some real issues (didn't have a vent line, created a fuel fountain on my first drive--bad). SO, now I have it figured out completely. It fills fast, it shuts off when full, the gas gauge works. This is how I did it, and it works great.

You may use different hose/tube diameters, but these are the ones I am using. I bought my gas tank at the truck and car shop in Orange CA. The sending unit is 90 ohm (pretty sure...). Their kit is okay, the straps don't fit that well, but otherwise I have no complaints.

Search terms:
Blazer tank fuel filler plumbing, underbed, gas tank relocate, (mods--hope these search terms are okay, I just want people to find this)

Hope it helps!

The check valve, do you have more details? Part number, where you can buy it, etc?

Do you have any pictures of the installation? How did you route your filler? Thanks for the diagram. Subscribed

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

With extreme delay.....

It came out of a second gen, maybe a 90 or so. The hard part to find is actually the filler hose. Most are rotten, and stores carry vey few diameters, in my experience. If you find the whole thing in the yard, grab it!

I actually grabbed it from a moto cross/ motorcycle shop. It was like 14 bucks, which sucked, but it did the trick.

Btw, I am updating after a long time in case future generations are similarly interested...

Haven't tried to buy any for a while but NAPA used to have it in the Gates catalog.

Filler neck, pieced from a couple trucks at the junk yard, dodge ram, made a reducer type thing by just using different diameters of hoses....
