Hey, I'd like to hear more about the drip rail redo process. How did you go about removing the old, what were the tricks to putting the stuff on, etc. does it run on the vertical parts, etc. etc... great tip, and would love to love to learn more. - oh, also, what exactly is it

I may have posted about this before. But for less than fifty bucks, this is the best cosmetic mod I think I've ever done...
Well, the wood bed that I put in cost less than that, but I had the wood. No fair.

I stumbled on this on my own. But I think other Members (Maybe Mr. B...and others) have written about it.

I just washed the spray on bedliner...which was very, very "blotchy" (sorry, no "before" pics), masked up,
and sprayed the stuff in. I'm going to keep it as the finished surface on the inside of the bed.

I think it took three cans, tailgate and all.

- Thanks again, I was about to do it soon with a single part tube of body sealer that I bought from NAPA. I now think I'll pick some of that two part self leveling stuff up and save the other for different parts of the truck.
Another quick question though... well, maybe two. first, are there any concerns about sag on the vertical edges by the door. Seems that being self leveling, it would tend to sag. Second, is there a good way to make sure that the chrome drip rail trim will still fit. I was thinking about taking a grinder to one of those yellow Bondo applicator throw away things that you can get. Grinding it down so that I could run it along the drip rail and then it would 'scrape' away any wet filler that is going to be an issue for the trim. In a sense, shaping a special template. Does that make any sense.

Just wondered your thoughts on these two things. Thanks again!

My interior was a great deal.
Seats were $10 for bolts and gas
The wood cluster was $5 rosewood stock.
7 gauges were elbow grease(except the tach but that came DOA sucks)
The head smash pad was $10
Door panels and head visors were free.
And my Defrost to floor switch was pure inovation.
$20 in shrahdar valves saved me a $1000 in gear.
Tremclad and spool of mig wire.
$50 interior

Couple more. Beer is good and this helps save $ from the $tripper joint.

From this thread alone : I am

getting the plastic clips for my wipers so I can finally clean the windows on the I 90

Get the 5 LED 94bulb replacments. that is just awsome to see the gauges

Head light relays is a now must. And probabaly rewire the truck now too while at the wire store.
