HVAC center vent

To anyone out there. what keeps the center chrome A/C vent in place? It has a couple of holes on the backside but they are not threaded. My truck did not come with factory air but I installed a factory air dash. Thanks in advance for a answer.

Re: HVAC center vent

I think there were clips that slipped onto the dash.

Re: HVAC center vent

There are studs on the back side of the vent that extend though a plastic diverted and hold the diverter against the back side of the dash.

Re: HVAC center vent

The new one I bought did not have threads in the holes but the studs cut threads in when I screwed them in.

#8 is the part that attaches to the face plate and holds it in place on the dash. I don't see the stud listed though.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
