Crew Cab?!
Well fellas right now i am stuck in tech school for the air force.. but im starting to put all the pieces together now so when i get out i can get this money ball rollin!
When i get out i plan on buying me a 70's-80's chevy crew cab 4x4. love these ol beasts! im not big on duallys. SO i have a few questions for ya'll that know a little bit more than me.. But the main big one is Motor Selection! I know my fair share but im in need of some help! **I want a good motor for towing and mpg. I don’t want to get killed at the pump but I understand with towing doesn’t come with mpg and the main goal of this truck is TOWING. I just looking for the motor that could give me best of both world. Im not towing 5 pickups down the road, just horse trailers, cars, and maybe some odd and ends here and there. ** Gas or diesel, ive read about folks doin the 12v swap but it looks tricky because of the motor mounts and all the extra work that goes into it like cutting some of the frame to make it sit in there good, is it worth it??? **Or would It be better just to get like a 400 like my dad has? or does anyone know anything about the old 6.2's?? Grandpa has a early 80's 6.2.. would that be a good fit for just hauling horse trailers, cars, and probably pulling my cousin out of a mud pit. So anyone have good ideas for my motor selection??

Re: Crew Cab?!
My dreams of this truck is to have a nice lift to it with decent size tires. Long bed with this kinda paint job on it
I know of the guy that did this paint job, if you want his info ill put the link to his web site underneath. he does really good work! http://jeromeborris.com/?cat=13 I think hes in Ohio, not for sure thought.
