Re: New member.. my 72c-10
I've done all the engine work by myself, 2nd one i've done. This go around i figured out what i was doing and it was a ton smoother.
Anyway, have a haus engine, what next? Trans? Rear diff? |

Re: New member.. my 72c-10
whats up with the diff? posi? gear ratio? i always think that you can have a great motor and trans but without the proper gear set in the back it'll never seem right. also, thats a nice looking, clean motor. well done.

Re: New member.. my 72c-10
Beautiful truck. There's a tailgate worthy of "Juicy" on it!
Grab the premium ($25.00) membership. Allows you to sell spare parts from your project. For me, it's a simple way to say "thank you" to the owners and moderators that keep this site going. I'd venture to say there's not screw, nut or bolt on these old trucks that hasn't been discussed somewhere here.

Re: New member.. my 72c-10
Bent a valve. I think I had a poly lock on the rocker too tight.. took it too high rpm.. just got my new valves in and heads are back on. Sucks!! Was going to buy a 4 speed before this happened. Also put a milodon pan on it, new water pump, and switched to a holley carb. Hope to have it running this weekend. . Clutch is also crap.. pay to play I guess.
