Are there not alot of guys with 4x4's

Just wondering. While I love seeing the two wheel drives I also like seeing the 4wd's too. I miss my old 63 K20.

Yeah I would like to buy my old 63 back. I just have to have the $4500 that I sold it to the guy to get it back. Just don't have the extra right now to do that.
19,000 original mile truck.

Where did you get six lug vette rallies at? I don't think I have ever seen them before.

Re: Are there not alot of guys with 4x4's

I bought those at a swap meet there aftermarket wheels, you can actually buy them with all different bolt patterns now even F-O-R-D..had them on my 48 fleetline car six lug..But went back with original 16's on my car so I put these on my truck...Need to go bigger on my tires..they look small on truck now...

Re: Are there not alot of guys with 4x4's

4x4s are in general rare. Even more true in the early to mid-60s, not to mention before.
I love the personality of an old (or not 4x4) but not everyone does...

Re: Are there not alot of guys with 4x4's

I figured they were a little on the rare side to come across everyday. I am a short bed type of guy myself but I always have had a soft spot for the older 4x4's. I just don't see alot of them on here was the only reason I asked. Would be nice to see more of them posted up.

Re: Are there not alot of guys with 4x4's

I own three, 1966 short bed 4x4, 1965 long bed 4x4, 1964 short bed 4x4. There are not too many members on here that own 4x4's but there are a lot of them out there. You have probably seen the thread on this 60-66 forum. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=459816

Re: Are there not alot of guys with 4x4's

I'd say most 4x4 didnt survive as well as 2wds, and with lower production numbers when compaired to 2wds there are not as many out there, but.... There are still a lot around.

Yes it does. Rockwell 221 t-case, tranny, diffs all original. When I got the truck back to AZ, I went through the drivetrain replacing all fluids - input/output shaft seals, pinion seals, and u-joints. Drives nice but I need the steerng box rebuilt and a windshield to make it road worthy. Needs alot of rust control (fenders, rockers, cab supports, etc.) and a few other things.
