Cody from Wichita 85 C10
I'm new here, coming to you from Wichita KS. Actually on McConnell AFB.
2 months ago i bought this 85 c10 silverado with a 305/700r4 50k original miles rusty beat up bed and driver door rust free frame engine (need valve cover gaskets and an oil pan gasket and some beautfying) smooth transmission new brakes really broken down seat (reason for the wadded up jacket and sweat shirt i set on) lots and lots of miscellaneous problems but still my daily driver and i love cruisin it. only thing that works in the cab is the dash lights and the heater and sometimes the passenger window guess the fuel tank switch does but i only use one tank due to the other having old fuel in it Custom painted steelies, Im very limited as to stuff i can do due to living on a military base with all of the silly rules. so i can tear this thing apart like i want to until i get a shop or find a friend with one. let me know what you guys think i only paid 1300 bucks for this thing and have about 1600 in getting it safe and dependable |

Pretty cool project truck. Those square bodies look great hot rodded.

Re: Cody from Wichita 85 C10
thanks, i plan on defeating the odds and keeping the original 305 and beefing it up a lil. unfortunately the thing started blowin thick black smoke on me today i dont know if it may be just where i put 91 octane through it or not its idleing alot smoother but now i have smoke so im a bit confused. I have cleaned the carb but its already getting gummed up again. this thing could prolly use the tanks cleaned or throw a fuel cell in the bed

Truck looks like a good solid project. They look best slammed to the ground IMO.
