Not sure what you mean by that. Ha.
It's only 3/4" per side wider.

I'm starting to notice the difference in some of the pics I see online of c10's. it isn't as bad as I had first visualized, but I can see the tires sticking out past the step sides in some applications. But doesn't that mean the step side fenders for swb are different sizes for 68-72 c10's ?

The C10-30 K10-20 stepside fenders are the same 68-72. 67 differs only by not having the marker cutout. IIRC there are eight different fenders covering 67-72 stepsides.
67 right
68-72 right
67 left
67 left w/115"wb w/side mount spare cutout
67 left w/side mount spare cutout, except 115"wb
68-72 left
68-72 left w/115"wb w/side mount spare cutout
68-72 left w/side mount spare cutout, except 115"wb

Any apparent placement of the wheel relative to the fender lip will depend on four things.
installed axle width WMS to WMS
wheel width
wheel backspacing
axle laterial centering
