Question about two tone paint on 68's.
I have seen a lot of 68's with white tops and white under the lower trim (C/10 King's "Gumby" immediately comes to mind), but was it original? I know for sure the 50th anniversary trucks came that way, but where other color trucks available like this from the factory.

Re: Question about two tone paint on 68's.
In 68 it was the conventional two-tone (roof only) other than the 50th trucks. The 50th style scheme became the special two-tone in the 69MY which had a white roof and rockers. The 68 two-tone was 526 ivory over any of the body colors except 521 white or 526 ivory.

Re: Question about two tone paint on 68's.
I thought this was the case, but I wasn't sure. I have seen a lot of them painted that way, and I am going probably going to paint mine that way, but I was curious as whether it was factory.

Re: Question about two tone paint on 68's.
Yeah,I only know because I remember when they started the new 2-tone in '69 I read an article about the bold new look. Them,I forgot and it wasn't till more recent years with all the truck talk it came up again. I'm glad you asked or I might have forgotten again.
